Subaru Makes Donation for Typhoon Relief in Japan
Tokyo, November 5, 2019 – Subaru Corporation extends its heartfelt condolences to those affected by Typhoon Hagibis (Typhoon 19) that struck Japan in October.
Subaru is making the following donations to help the victims of the typhoon and to support recovery efforts in the affected areas.
■ Subaru will donate 10,000,000 yen to the Japanese Red Cross to aid the victims of the typhoon.
■ The Company will also donate 5,000,000 yen to the Central Community Chest of Japan to assist volunteers and non-profit organizations doing relief and recovery work in the affected region.
■ Additionally, Subaru will donate 3,000,000 yen each to Gunma Prefecture and Tochigi Prefecture where the Company has its automotive and aerospace manufacturing sites. The Company is also matching employee donations made to these prefectures.
Subaru sincerely wishes for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
