Subaru Corporation Announces Organizational Changes
and Change to Executive Officer's Title
(Effective October 1, 2023)
Tokyo, October 2, 2023 – Subaru Corporation has announced the following organizational changes and change to the title of an executive officer, which took effect on October 1, 2023.
1. Organizational Changes
Automotive Business Unit
－ Renaming of Manufacturing Division to Monozukuri Division and Reorganization of the Division
With the concept of "manufacturing" undergoing a major change in this "once-in-a-century transformation period of the automobile industry," Subaru's Manufacturing Division has been renamed the Monozukuri Division as the company seeks to redefine its approach to monozukuri (manufacturing) and pursue its monozukuri.
At the same time, some functions of the Development Prototype Department of the Engineering Division have been transferred to the Monozukuri Division with the aim of improving efficiency through “seamless development.”
All departments previously under the Gunma Plant will report directly to the Monozukuri Division, with the exception of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Production Departments, which will remain under the Gunma Plant.

－ Discontinuation of Engineering & Development Center and Reorganization of R&D and Manufacturing Engineering Departments
By reorganizing the R&D and manufacturing engineering departments to improve the efficiency in these areas, the Aerospace Company aims to achieve efficient high-mix, low-volume production and further growth in its three core businesses (defense, commercial and helicopter).
