Subaru Employees Donate to Support Turkey-Syria Relief Efforts
Tokyo, August 29, 2023 – Subaru extends its deepest condolences to those affected by the massive earthquake that struck southeastern Turkey on February 6 this year.
Employees of Subaru Corporation and Subaru Group companies have made donations to support the victims of the earthquake and the recovery efforts in the affected areas. Subaru has matched the donations made by its employees to support the cause.
■ Subaru Corporation, Group Companies, and Subaru Dealers in Japan:
JPY 1,191,200, the total amount of employee donations and matching gifts, was donated to two organizations: Save the Children Japan*1 and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency*2.
■ Group companies in North America:
A total of approximately $31,000 was donated, combining employee donations and matching gifts.
Subaru sincerely wishes for the speedy recovery and restoration of the affected communities.
