In June 2024, a FUJI-BELL 205B* helicopter owned by the SUBARU Group was displayed at an event held by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Garrison in Utsunomiya City, where SUBARU's plant is located. The purpose of the exhibit at this event was to inform residents living near the plant about SUBARU as a local industry and to contribute to the revitalization of the local community as a venue to interact with each other.

The UH-1J utility helicopter, which was developed for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force using the FUJI-BELL 205B as a common platform, is still used as the main helicopter for such missions as disaster relief and supply transport.

The event was attended by approximately 6,500 people, including families and aviation enthusiasts. People who visited the SUBARU booth smiled and enjoyed such attractions as displays of real pilot helmets and parachutes, as well as a providing place for commemorative photos.

Helicopters designed and manufactured by SUBARU are used to protect the lives of citizens, including by the Japan Self-Defense Forces and as disaster prevention helicopters in various prefectures. In addition to manufacturing and selling helicopters, we contribute to flight safety by supporting helicopter operations with the supply of parts and provision of regular maintenance. SUBARU will continue its efforts to contribute to the safety and security as well as the revitalization of local communities.
