Subaru Loves Pets:
An Initiative for Animal Welfare in the U.S.

We would like to introduce one of the activities within the SUBARU Love Promise® program, where Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA), SUBARU’s sales subsidiary in the United States, and its nationwide network of retailers come together to make a positive impact—Subaru Loves Pets, devoted to animal welfare.
Camden, New Jersey, where SOA is located, is home to thousands of pets. Over the years, SOA has donated over US$51 million to national and regional organizations, positively impacting more than 420,000 animals across the United States. Pets provide love and enrich our lives, and are irreplaceable companions to a great many people. And yet, each year, 6.3 million animals enter shelters, with seemingly no end to the number of animals subjected to abuse and neglect. Since 2008, SOA has donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) in an effort to improve the situation. It has also actively engaged in various initiatives such as advocating for humane animal welfare laws, promoting pet adoption, and supporting animal shelters. In 2022, SOA collaborated with animal shelters throughout the United States to host adoption events, helping over 47,000 shelter pets find loving homes. In October of the same year, SOA held its fourth National Make a Dog’s Day, where all dog lovers are encouraged to do something special for their pets and to consider adopting dogs that are harder to find homes for such as older and special-needs dogs.
