Net sales by business segment showed decreases in sales and profits for all segments except the automobile business.
The Aerospace Company saw a decrease in sales due to declining sales in the defense sector after the delivery of the PX/CX test planes was completed. Sales were good in the civil sector, including an increase of Boeing 777 orders as well as steady progress on the Boeing 787 project and delivery of the Eclipse 500. These developments however failed to offset declining sales in the defense sector, resulting in 2.2 billion yen revenue decrease.
Sales were down 5.4 billion yen for the Industrial Products Company due to declining sales to Fuji Robin Industries Ltd. and the sluggish North American market.
Sales dropped by 1.2 billion yen in other areas due to the downsizing of the Eco Technologies Company’s environmental equipment business.
