Under net sales by business segment, sales increased for the automobile, aerospace and industrial products segment.

For the Aerospace company, there was an increase in CX/PX sales fueled by Japan Defense Agency. For civil airplanes, Boeing recovery resulted in increase of sales for the Boeing 777 and 737 jets, while steady progress was also made in advancing the Boeing 787 Project.

The Industrial Products company scored growth in its sales, with the focus on overseas-bound engines.

Net sales in other segment declined under the impact of the downsizing in operations at Yusoki Kogyo K.K.
