FHI Announces Production, Japan Sales and Export Results for May 2013

Led by strong demand for the Impreza series and the all-new Forester, April production in Japan rose year over year for the 5th straight month setting an all-time record for the month of May. Overseas production in May posted the first year-overyear decrease in two months. Global production grew year over year for the 5th consecutive month, posting an all-time May production record.

With strong sales of the all-new Forester and other popular models including the Subaru XV, domestic sales of passenger cars increased from a year ago for the 12th consecutive month setting the best May sales record. Mini vehicle sales posted the first year-over-year decrease in two months. Total Japan sales rose year over year for the second straight month.
