FHI Introduces the "SUBARU XV CROSSTREK" at New York International Auto Show
Tokyo, March 22, 2012 – Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, today announced that it will showcase the "Subaru XV Crosstrek" (US specifications) at the New York International Auto Show (Press day: April 4 and April 5; Open to the public from April 6 through April 15).
The Subaru XV is Subaru’s new generation crossover vehicle that made its world premiere at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. Named "Subaru XV Crosstrek" in the US market, it will debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show.
This compact crossover SUV features a stylish design and provides an enjoyable drive. It is well balanced with roomy and convenient interior. While maintaining its standard all-wheel drive, the Subaru XV Crosstrek employs the 2.0 liter Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine and Lineartronic (CVT) and achieves a highway fuel economy of 33 mpg* - making it the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive crossover vehicle in the US. It also offers good rough road capability due to its 8.7 inches of ground clearance, which is higher than many of its competitors’.

Two grades, "Premium" and "Limited", will be available in the US. The "Limited" model employs comprehensive infotainment equipments such as the multi-function navigation system with a 6.1-inch touch screen display.
The press conference is scheduled at the Subaru booth on April 5, 2012 at 9.55h.
