Consolidated domestic and overseas automobile sales for the fiscal year ending March 2011 is forecasted to rise by 100.5 thousand units on a year on year basis to total 663.4 thousand units. We are aiming for a record high consolidated sales volume by adding 4 thousand units to the sales volume forecast released at the end of the first half.
Domestic sales were severely impacted by the termination of the eco-car purchase subsidy programs and are expected to fall by 10.6 thousand units for passenger cars and minicars combined. Overseas sales are projected to increase 111.1 thousand units on the expectation that international sales of the Legacy and the Forester will remain steady across the board. |
