The balance sheet shows total assets increasing by 2.4 billion yen to 1,318.4 billion yen from the end of the previous fiscal year.
Current assets decreased by 0.7 billion yen.
There was an increase of 22.6 billion yen in inventories mainly in relation to the work in process on the Boeing 787 and AH-64D in the Aerospace Company, which was offset by the decrease of Notes and accounts receivable, trade due to seasonal factors.
Fixed assets increased by 3.0 billion yen, due to the acquisition of land by domestic dealers and SOA’s Site Control project.
Regarding interest-bearing debt, 10 billion yen in corporate bonds were redeemed, reducing the total amount of corporate bonds by 10 billion yen. Commercial paper and borrowings were also repaid. All this brought the total down 27.1 billion yen to 316.8 billion yen from the end of March 2007. The debt-to-equity ratio was 0.63.
Net assets totaled 505.9 billion yen. Shareholders' equity excluding minority interest in consolidated subsidiaries (1.0 billion yen) totaled 504.8 billion yen. The shareholders’ equity to total assets ratio was up 0.8% to 38.3%.
