In comparison to the previous fiscal year, domestic passenger car sales are predicted to fall by 0.8 thousand units. Specifically, the Forester and Impreza should increase by 2.8 thousand units as a result of the major face lift, while the Legacy will see a fall of 2.4 thousand units with further decreases 1.1 thousand units due to the termination of production on the Traviq. The minicar will be declined 16.2 thousand units due to a reduction caused by a struggling the R2 and aging of the mini commercial car. Therefore an overall domestic sales will be decreased 17 thousand units.
As for the overseas market, in the U.S. the introduction of the B9 Tribeca should offset falls which will be seen in the Saab 9-2X and Legacy, with an overall increase of 2.4 thousand units forecast. Canadian sales should remain even. Increases are planned for Europe due to the major face lift effect of the Forester as well as for Australia due to the major face lift effect of the Impreza and Forester. Overseas sales expected to increase by 8.6 thousand units overall.
Company-wide there should be a total fall of 21.5 thousand units due in part to decreases of 13.2 thousand units which will be seen with the termination of consignment production for Isuzu.
