The number of passenger car sales in domestic market saw 2 thousand units year-on-year decrease for the Legacy and 6 hundred units decrease for the Traviq, which production was already terminated. Following the major face lift, the Forester sales were up by approximately 1 hundred units and the Impreza saw increases of 6 hundred units, but these could not prevent an overall decrease of 2.1 thousand units. Overall, 9.7 thousand less units were sold.
Internationally, the B9 Tribeca launch contributed to increase by 5.5 thousand units in the U.S. with the Impreza also increasing by 1.4 thousand units. However, the Legacy and Forester saw a dip in sales, and combined with the Saab 9-2X decrease of 6.8 thousand units there was an overall fall of 5.7 thousand units. In Canada sales of the B9 Tribeca remained at about the same level year on year basis. Sales remained the same level in Europe as well due to the effect of the Forester following the major face lift as it balanced out falls in sales of the Legacy and Impreza. In Australia, sales of the Impreza and Forester remained strong, increasing by 1.1 thousand units. All in all, foreign sales fell by 1.4 thousand units. The decrease of domestic sales and the end of the consignment production at SIA, which resulted in a decrease of 12.2 thousand units, combined with overseas figures led to a worldwide decrease of 23.3 thousand units. |
